The Fundació Arranz-Bravo
It is not a posthumous foundation. Eduard Arranz-Bravo created it in his lifetime, opened it to the public on 17 September 2009, and watched it run for fourteen years.
The founding act is a donation
The Fundació’s holdings are work he gave: paintings and works of his own, donated to a public art centre in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, the city in the Barcelona area where his public work stands in the street.
Giving it in his lifetime is not a matter of dates. It means the Fundació was born with him inside it: he saw it open, exhibited there, and lived to see its retrospective for his eightieth birthday.
One exhibition of his a year; young artists the rest
The rhythm of the house is well established: one Arranz-Bravo exhibition each year, between November and February, and young contemporary programming the rest of the year. His work shares the room with the work of those starting out.

The Fundació and the Estate
The Fundació Arranz-Bravo holds and shows the collection he donated, and programmes. Successió Arranz-Bravo, S.L. is the heirs’ company: it administers the whole legacy, authenticates, handles rights and loans, and maintains the catalogue of the complete work — including what was never donated.
